At Bellevue Christian Church our first priority is the safety of your child. Every child in our Children’s Ministry is signed in when they enter the area. Children are assigned a numerical designator and the parent/guardian is given the corresponding identification badge. In order for the child to be released from our care, the proper ID badge must be presented.
All volunteers in our Children’s Ministry are subject to strict background screening before they are permitted to work in our Children’s Ministry. In addition, CPR classes are offered to our volunteers at regular intervals, to ensure that all volunteers are properly certified in life-saving procedures.
We look forward to the opportunity to partner with you in the spiritual growth of your child. If you have any questions or need any additional information please click here to email Chris Hill.

We recognize that not only do children learn better in an environment created and designed especially for them, but we believe their worship experience is more fulfilled when they are in a worship setting designed especially for them. We are expanding our Jr. Worship program for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. Beginning in September 2009, our Jr. Worship program will meet each week during the 10:45 am service. The third Sunday of each month is Family Sunday, where families are given the opportunity to worship together in the main worship service. This service will feature our youth praise band leading worship, our Associate Minister preaching, and our children involved in the service in various ways. We look forward to serving your family with this new addition to our worship line-up. If you have any questions about what's going on in the Children's Ministry at BCC feel free to contact Chris Hill through email by clicking here.

At Truth Student Ministries at Bellevue Christian Church, service to God and His people is something we value. Understanding our call to love God and love others we seek opportunities to put our faith into action. In August we will seize one such opportunity and pack up and head to Piedras Negras, Mexico. Working with Crossroads Missions we will have opportunities for outreach and service in Medical Missions, children’s ministry, and evangelism. We will work with the established mission there to improve the education, housing, and environment for families in Piedras Negras. On-going projects include a forty-four home subdivision, a school and a park.

If you would like to learn more about missions opportunities at Truth Student Ministries you can contact us at info@truthstudentministries.com.

Since the late ‘70s, The Shepherd's Door has served as a resource to the Christian community in the North Boroughs of Pittsburgh. Bellevue Christian Church recently purchased the business from long time owner Ann Farrell. Hundreds of volunteer labor hours were put into getting the store ready for the Christmas season. The church has future plans to dedicate a portion of the profits to local, regional and global ministries. The Shepherd's Door has been relocated to 563 Lincoln Avenue (next to Vivo's Restaurant). For more information, contact the store manager Kelly Hill via email Kelly@theshepherdsdoor.org or call 412-761-4310. To check out The Shepherd's Door new website CLICK HERE. On June 14th, 2008 students from Truth Student Ministries at Bellevue Christian Church will once again leave Pittsburgh for New Orleans. For the third time in the last two years, we will spend a week in New Orleans working with Crossroads Missions as they continue to help rebuild the gulf coast in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We will work on a number of different projects, from new home construction in Center City to home rebuilding in St. Bernard's Parish.

This is another tremendous opportunity for us as a Student Ministry to put action to our faith and serve those in need. If you are interested in learning more about short-term missions opportunities you can contact us at info@truthstudentministries.com.

  Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh:

Pittsburgh is the second largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States. It is the county seat of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. It is the economic, cultural, academic, and service hub of the Pittsburgh Metro Area and the Pittsburgh Tri-State. Built on the land between the confluence of the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela rivers and the surrounding hills, Pittsburgh features a skyline of skyscrapers and dozens of bridges.

Pittsburgh remains the chief city of the eastern Ohio River Valley. Because of its setting, economic opportunities, low cost of living, and growing educational, cultural and medical infrastructures, Pittsburgh has been ranked multiple times as one of the nation's most livable cities.

Bellevue Christian Church is committed to the principles of our Christian church heritage Bellevue Christian Church is committed to the principles of our Christian Church
heritage, as expressed by phrases like these: In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; and in all things, love. We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only. We follow no creed but Christ.

The following key biblical principles are not intended as a test of fellowship, but
are simply meant to affirm our belief in key issues of biblical doctrine. We offer
this document as a theological framework to help unify our faith community under
the authority of Christ and His Word, and to advance our efforts to communicate
the gospel to the world.

What we believe: About God God is One. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three
persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19;
John 14:26; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14 About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was begotten of the
Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life. He was fully God and fully
Man. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross.
He arose from the dead body after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.
He ascended to Heaven's glory where He lives as our High Priest and Advocate. He will return
personally again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to
make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives, as the Comforter, in every Christian
from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding
of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift
when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. About The Bible

The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural
guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. About Human Beings

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the
supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good,
all of us are marred from birth by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". This
attitude separates people from God eternally and causes many problems in life. About Salvation

We believe that Christ's sacrificial and substitutionary death on the cross satisfied God's
wrath against the sin of those who accept Christ. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's
offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Salvation is God's free gift to us
but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works.
When we repent of our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are born again of the Holy
Spirit. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. About Baptism

We believe that commitment to Christ in faith is to be accompanied by publicly identifying
with Christ through baptism by immersion.

The more we seek to understand "the incomparable riches" of the Grace of God, the more conscious we become of the shallowness of our love for Him. That we ought to love Him, as we consider all He has done for us through His death on the Cross as propitiation for our sins, we are never in doubt, but whether we do love Him, in actual daily fact and experience, we may well begin to question. A deep yearning in our innermost being "to know Him more clearly, love Him more dearly and follow Him more nearly" is probably all to which we dare lay claim.
